EENOVA Joins the LIFE Clean Energy Transition Contractors Meeting in Brussels

On April 10–11, the EENOVA team took part in the LIFE Clean Energy Transition Business & Industry Contractors Meeting held in Brussels. The event brought together representatives from across Europe’s LIFE projects to exchange insights, showcase progress, and deepen collaboration around decarbonising business and industry.

Presenting EENOVA’s Experience from the Field

As part of the programme, we had the opportunity to present EENOVA’s approach and progress in front of fellow LIFE project coordinators, experts, and European Commission representatives. Our contribution focused on the implementation experience within the agri-food sector, based on the work done across five regional value chains in Austria, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Romania, and Slovenia.

We highlighted how EENOVA engages both SMEs and larger enterprises through a participatory roundtable methodology, tailored to regional contexts. The structured process—ranging from initial audits to action planning and replication—is already producing tangible insights and shared momentum in the regions.

From Exchange to Impact

The meeting was more than a showcase—it was an opportunity to exchange perspectives with other project teamsworking on energy efficiency and renewables in industrial contexts. Discussions touched on engagement strategies, policy alignment, scalability, and common implementation hurdles. For EENOVA, it was reassuring and motivating to see how many shared goals and challenges connect us with other LIFE projects.

By bringing our practical experience to the table—especially around company engagement and value chain collaboration—we contributed to shaping future thinking on how EU projects can support a just and efficient energy transition for business and industry.

What’s Next?

The meeting affirmed the importance of cross-project dialogue and opened potential paths for future collaboration. As EENOVA moves forward with the final roundtables and the formulation of policy recommendations, the insights gained in Brussels will be taken on board to further strengthen our approach.

We thank the organisers for creating a space for such valuable exchange, and we look forward to staying connected with the LIFE community.
