EENOVA Project Hosts Successful 2nd Consortium Meeting in Ljubljana

The EENOVA project successfully held its 2nd Consortium Meeting on October 3rd and 4th in Ljubljana, Slovenia. The meeting brought together key project partners to discuss progress, monitor ongoing deliverables, and plan the next steps toward achieving energy-smart solutions within the European food sector.

Field Visits to Dairy Planika and Organic Farm

On the first day of the consortium meeting, participants had the opportunity to visit Dairy Planika, one of the companies involved in the EENOVA project and a key player in the Slovenian dairy sector. Planika is engaged in the project’s efforts to reduce fossil fuel dependency by improving energy efficiency and adopting renewable energy solutions in the dairy value chain. The visit also included a stop at a local organic farm, showcasing sustainable agricultural practices.

WP3 Official Kick-Off

The meeting also marked the official launch of Work Package 3 (WP3), focusing on energy audits, identifying critical factors, and developing action plans to enhance energy efficiency and renewable energy use.

Progress Report & On-Track Milestones

During the consortium meeting, all partners reported steady progress on key deliverables across five regional food value chains in Europe, covering subsectors like bakery, meat, dairy, water, and wine. The project is right on track, with all partners closely monitoring outcomes to ensure the timely achievement of EENOVA’s ambitious goals.

The EENOVA project continues to pave the way for more energy-efficient and sustainable food production systems across Europe.
